Grinding angle of centerless grinder

- Feb 18, 2020-

A centerless grinder is a type of grinder that does not need to use the axis of the workpiece to perform grinding. It is composed of three mechanisms: grinding wheel, adjusting wheel and workpiece support.

Grinding angle of centerless grinder:

Diameter grinding: In small-volume production, with automatic feed and non-spark timer, a centerless grinder can obtain good grinding quality. In mass production, with two-stage automatic feed and two-stage measuring instrument, the centerless grinder can provide better output and grinding effect.

Slope grinding: The workpiece can be supported by a chuck or two top centers. Both the centerless grinder and the grinding wheel head can be rotated and adjusted easily.

Inner diameter grinding: The inner diameter grinding attachment (special accessory) of the centerless grinder grinds the inner diameter. Just pull the inner diameter grinding spindle down and fix it at the grinding position to grind.

Diameter grinding: Automatic intermittent feed and hydraulically driven worktable make the workpiece get more effective horizontal diameter grinding.

End face grinding: Remove the rotating cover of the work spindle head, replace the three-jaw or four-jaw chuck to change the position of the positioning pin to make the chuck rotate, and fix the centerless grinder at 90° for end-face grinding.

Shoulder grinding: When the outer diameter of the work piece and its shoulder grinding are to be completed at one time, the work piece is supported by two top centers and the grinding wheel is refitted on the right side of the grinding wheel head and rotated at an angle to grind.
